Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Dobbie mobile application ("the App"). By using Dobbie, you agree to these Terms.

1. Using Dobbie

Dobbie is a dog care tracking app that lets you log activities, set reminders, and receive AI-powered insights about your dog. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may create an account using your email address and password, or using Sign in with Apple. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.

3. Subscriptions

• Dobbie offers a free tier and a Premium subscription ($3.99/month or $29.99/year).
• Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.

4. Household Sharing (Guest Access)

Premium subscribers can invite up to 3 guests per dog. Guests receive limited access: they can view and log activities and view reminders, but cannot access AI features, edit dog profiles, or invite other users. Guest access is free and does not require the guest to have a Premium subscription.

5. AI Features Disclaimer

Dobbie's AI Chat and AI Insights features provide general information and suggestions about dog care. They are not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. If you have concerns about your dog's health, behaviour, or well-being, please consult a qualified veterinarian. We are not responsible for any actions taken based on AI-generated content.

6. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in Dobbie, including activity logs, dog profiles, and photos. By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to store and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data
• Abuse the AI features (e.g., attempting prompt injection)
• Use automated systems to access the App (scraping, bots, etc.)
• Interfere with the App's infrastructure or performance

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

Dobbie is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
